The CAC Team
Our team consists of three detailed partners who each bring a unique set of skills and expertise to CAC. Our qualifications include a Journeyman Electrician, a Journeyman Instrument Technician, a Professional Licensee in Engineering (P.L.Eng) specializing in Automation, and a range of technical diplomas. With our diverse certifications and skillset, we are able to deliver complete projects from the design phase through startup.
Our Approach
At CAC we take a different approach to Automation than many other players in the Agriculture industry. Instead of a pre-packaged, limited solution that does not check every box, we offer a custom centralized solutions with near infinite possibilities. This enables us to add custom monitoring, detection and control tailored to your specific requirements.
After understanding your equipment, and desires we are able to offer a custom solution to manage all of your equipment. We design, and build a custom control cabinet that is able to handle your current, and future requirements. We then work with you to program the system in a way that fits all of your requirements.
Our System
Our system, and the ‘automation’ within are based around a custom control cabinet designed for your application. This cabinet is designed, built, installed and wired specifically for your requirements with forethought to potential additions. A PLC is used as the brains behind the operation. This is the same device used in industrial environments, which reliably executes programmed logic, controls the electrical signals, and reads information from sensors.
For visualization and control a local HMI (Human Machine Interface) is utilized. This panel allows you to visualize, and control the entirety of your operation from a single application, rather than multiple apps or webpages. You are able to operate motors, view trends, and start a grain dryer with a single touch. We also offer remote visualization of this system allowing you to view, and control equipment remotely from a phone, laptop, or tablet as if you were right there.
Our Vendors
We pride ourselves on quality, and ensure quality by working with industry leaders for software, control and monitoring. Our control systems leverage industry leading Rockwell Automation control hardware and software. Our partnership with Endress+Hauser allows us to provide realizable, durable, and supported industrial instruments with our system.
We also offer multiple vendor options for moisture monitoring. Our team has worked with Prairie Grain Analyzers to develop a communication path between moisture cables and our system. With this communication path we are able to retrieve moisture data from Prairie Grain, OPI, and BinSense cables back to our centralized system.
